So, my friend

nyxelestia is looking to start a new resource comm and is looking for some help either with the running of the comm or with indexing posts on delicious.

It's a really cool idea:

So, there are lot of research comms/sites out there, but what I want to start is a resource comm - a place to pool and find resources on a topic you're writing about. An user can post saying they're writing about a war, event, time, place, ect., and people will offer recs and resources to help them out.

The goal is to have both an LJ comm and a Delicious account tagging posts and individual resources. I'm currently trying to work out/set-up a tagging system for both (on LJ, archive links will only be to tags and posts, while on Delicious I'm hoping to eventually tag individual resources/links).

Right, so, guess what came in the mail today??

Spooks Season 7! (Yes, I know that's from 2008 - being a US fan sucks :/) It was just released here, and we just got the first two discs from Netflix! *is super excited*

I admit, I was very, very sad to see Adam Carter die in episode 1. I knew it was coming, but... I've grown very fond of him, despite a rocky start. (Tom will always be my secret favorite :p). But LUCAS NORTH!!!! Hotdamn, it's Guy of Gisborne without the (gu)eyeliner! WHAT IS THIS MADNESS?!?! I'm really liking him a whole lot so far, even if he is Adam's replacement...even though it was only one episode, I really liked the Adam-Lucas dynamic. Wish it could've lasted a little longer, but then, Adam's death was so well-written I don't even mind that much. But Jo! Oh my Jo, what are they doing to her??? *sigh*

So yes, I'm in a very, very, very happy place right now! SPOOKS FTW!
(and we'll just forget that pretty much my entire f-list is AR or Merlin fans, and I have no idea if any of you care about Spooks...ah well, have to squee to someone :p)

2) THE REALLY IMPORTANT THING: after some thought, I've decided to participate in

help_haiti, a fandom auction to help the people of Haiti who've just been hit by a big earthquake (if you haven't heard). I'm flat broke, so I can't bid, but I am offering both:
-1 fic of at least 1,000 words (see here)

Bidding for both starts at $1. So, whether you choose to take me up on this, or to do your own thing, please help in some way! The people of Haiti could really use all the support they can get, right now especially!
