HAI, holidays, and music meme

araFirst order of business, Happy Holidays, everyone! I hope Christmas was great for all who celebrate it, and that everyone enjoyed some time off :)
Second, hello and welcome to all my new Merlin friends! I'm so excited to get to know all of you better! That friending meme was nothing short of brilliance :D And as the dog Doug said in Up!: "I just met you, but I love you already!" :p

xaritomene. See, I told jusmine984 I might do it and she said it'd be cool, and I don't want to disappoint her or anything XD So here it be:
Step 1: Put your music player on shuffle.
Step 2: Post the first line (unless the first line reveals the song title) from the first 25 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing. (House rule: Skip instrumentals.)
Step 3: Strike through the songs when someone guesses both artist and song title correctly.
Step 4: Looking them up on Google is cheating!
(19&21 technically aren't the very first lyrics cause those are dead give aways, but they're right after)
(and, xaritomene, the first song is completely, totally, 100% legit - I couldn't stop laughing at the coincidence :p)

In other news, I'm disturbed by how much Fall Out Boy music I know. At the risk of sounding like one of those "oh, no, I don't like them" people, there are only maybe four or five songs of theirs that I like, but I recognise lyrics to a lot more. Surely they're not on the radio enough for it to be that subliminal? O.o Just imagine the trouble the poor DJ would have with the names. "aaand now, it's Fall Out Boy with another of their unnecessarily long-winded song titles! \0/"

Date: 2009-12-28 10:50 pm (UTC)Don't worry, I only like a few of their songs as well. Their music just tends to be very distinctive and the lyrics get into your head whether you want them to or not! And, I don't know about your radio, but the stations around me play FOB so much it truly is very subliminal. Like, I know practically all the words to 'I Don't Care' and 'Thnks fr th mmrs' without even voluntarily listening to either song once. It is sad!
*waves at rant*
